This cap is known in Sweden as the Vintermössa m/1943. The Vintermössa m/1943, made of sheep wool, features foldable earflaps for ear protection against the cold and a foldable visor. Its design appears to be inspired by the Finnish Karvalakki m/22 cap. Introduced in 1943, the hat was used by the Swedish Army. However, since Sweden did not engage in any direct armed conflicts during the 20th century, it is likely that the Vintermössa m/1943 was not used in actual warfare.
