The Gesellschaft für Sport und Technik (GST), or Society for Sport and Technology, was a paramilitary organization in East Germany (German Democratic Republic or GDR). It was established in 1952 and disbanded in 1990 with the German reunification. The GST was mainly focused on pre-military education and training of youths, but it also played a role in sports and technical activities.
Members of the GST could be awarded various medals and decorations for their achievements and services.
This medal would have been awarded for serving as an instructor in the GST.
